one down!

Logan is free of one line tonight. He had his umbilical IV removed today. Now he's getting all of his nutrition from the feeds he gets through the feeding tube in his nose. It's funny how removing one line makes such a difference when transferring him in and out of the crib. He lost a little bit of weight since last night, but that's to be expected a bit since he's not getting extra IV fluids. Plus, we're relying on him to work a little bit harder to regulate his own temperature, so that uses more energy. He seemed to have a good day, he slept well on several occasions today. We're grateful for that because it's periods of deep, uninterrupted sleep that allow him to develop and grow. After a nice cuddle session with Daddy, we're all ready to sleep well tonight. We hope you are, too : )
